Short Synopsis: Ever since Becca saved Chris Merrick from a beating at school, Becca's world has been turned upside down. With a stream of hot guys around every corner in the Merrick house, Becca manages to get in trouble, even when she's not trying.

My Thoughts: I loved this novel. Kept me intrigued at every page, and had me curious for more.

Becca is about to go home one evening after taking a self defense class at school. She hears noises, and decides to check it out. She witnesses a school beating and jumps into help the victim, Chris Merrick. But what she thought was an act of saving a life, turns out to be so much more.
As Becca gets to know Chris a little better, she is thrown into a world where supernatural elements, such as earth, air, fire, and water can all be controlled by the Merrick brothers, and others like them. She is also brought into a lengthy, complicated war, and is caught in the middle.
And as soon as she starts having feelings and understanding Chris and his brothers, a new kid named Hunter comes along. He's different, protective, and genuinely seems to care about Becca.
But as things start to get even more complicated, Becca is starting to notice that Hunter might not be who he claims to be. And with all the threats that Becca has been getting recently, Becca doesn't know who to trust. Can Becca help Chris through his problems, and find out who she really wants to be with?

I loved this novel. So many hot guys in one story? What more could you want? And the main character, Becca, is a determined, strong willed individual who will do what she can to defend herself, and those she cares for.
There was so much male chemistry in this novel, it was intoxicating! I loved reading about the instant attraction between Becca and Chris, and on the other hand, I also enjoyed reading about Becca and Hunter, and was intrigued to read how their friendship grew, but it was also interesting to compare the two relationships and see how they differed.
I also don't think I've read too many stories where the elements of earth, air, fire, and wind have all been controlled by strong, independent, and not to mention extremely hot brothers. I loved everything about this novel, and had me devouring it greedily. There were a couple questions that I hope will be answered later on as well.
First off, how come Becca never knew about what she could do, or about her powers as well? And how come Becca never really knew about what her father really did? All in all, a really great read with an oh my god ending, and I definitely can't wait to read what happens next.

Would I recommend this book: Yes!

Rating I give this book a 4.5/5.
