Calla has always welcomed war.
But now that the final battle is upon her, there's more at stake than fighting. There's saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay's wrath. There's keeping Ansel safe, even if he's been branded a traitor. There's proving herself as the pack's alpha, facing unnamanble horrors, and ridding the world of the Keepers' magic once and for all. And then there's deciding what to do when the war ends. If Calla makes it out alive, that is.

My Thoughts: I don't know why everyone absolutely loves this series. I remember reading the first one and liking it a lot, the second one left me doubtful, and when I picked up this one, I could barely get through the first couple chapters.
I don't know, maybe it's the writing style, or just the plot direction that it was going in, but I could not seem to get into this novel. There was nothing really attention grabbing for me, and I kept wanting to read something else.
I felt the story plot was all over the place, the characters were annoying, especially the boys, Ren and Shay who kept fighting every single second when they were in the same room. And I couldn't really stand Calla all that much either, when she didn't want to choose a mate. I felt like she was stringing both the boys along, and not really being considerate of their feelings.
The war aspect of the novel seemed really boring to me, and there was a lot of description which made it really hard for me to complete. Overall, I really wanted to at least try to complete the series, but at this time, I really wasn't feeling it.

Would I recommend this book: Only if you've read the first two in the series

Rating: I give this book a DNF.
