Top 5 Monday Rants

Hey people! It's a posting of Top 5 Monday Rants. So, let's get on to the list!

1) Can you believe it's January 2013? It seems as if every year that goes by time seems to be slipping away even quicker. Next thing we know, it'll be December before we know it. And though it's just the beginning of January, I also feel like I've already broken all my New Year's resolutions. Lol. What about you guys? How's your new year along with your resolutions going so far?

2) On my way home Saturday night, I had the creepiest experience. I was driving home and decided to turn on the radio. It was full of commercials so I turned it off. My radio button's a little old and with a slight touch it'll automatically turn on or off. But as I turned it off, my hands were no where near the button, and the radio turned itself on and off. Twice. Granted, it's an old car, I've had it for 13 years, but it's the first time that's ever happened to me, and left a creepy feeling. And on top of it, because of the storm, my neighborhood lights went out a couple of times. I'm sure it's all pretty explanatory and coincidental, but Saturday night was just not my night.

3) I'm in a middle of a read right now, that seems to be going pretty slowly, but the story's pretty interesting as well as a bit frustrating. There are times where I feel like I want to give up, but I want to see how the main story turns out in the end. I don't really identify with any of the characters involved, and it's not my usual type of read, but I'm still entertained so far. I'm also curious if any of your latest reads are like this as well.

4) I was watching another blogger's book haul and she mentioned that Ender's Game was going to be made into a movie. It's about time. Ender's Game was the first sci-fi book that I read that I really enjoyed. It was also the first sci-fi book that got me into that genre. I might have to pick it back up again and refresh my memory. On a related note, it seems as if a lot of books are being made into movies these days. Wonder which book will be picked up next.

5) And lastly, I don't know if it's just me, or are other people experiencing slow shipment on Amazon deliveries or not? I bought a book January 2nd, and they've yet to ship it out, when they estimated that it should have been shipped out by the 3rd or the 4th. I sent them an e-mail complaining of the lengthy wait, and they replied back that they were having trouble locating the item. I'm giving them till Monday night to ship the item out, before I request a cancellation. This is the second time I've had to send Amazon an e-mail. I was wondering if any of you had these certain problems while shopping on Amazon?
