WTF???

I know that plagiarism is a sensative subject in the book blogging world, especially now, and I realize that people are probably sick and tired of the overdone topic.
I swear I wasn't going to breach on this situation again, but after I saw the post on this subject on The Story Siren's blog once again, I feel that I need to express my thoughts as well.
First and foremost, I commend Kristi for trying to make up for her mistakes. But there is a right way and a wrong way, and what she did was totally wrong.
The first post she put up was titled "Let's Talk Plagiarism" along with a guest author. And after a couple comments on her first post, she then posted her reasons for starting a week long discussion about this topic. First, I understand that there may have been technical issues regarding which post came up first, but what comes down to is that this was still done horribly. I agree with some of the bloggers who commented that the author involved got a lot of Krisiti's blame.
I also felt that her reasons were not very well addressed. I felt that she was still trying to excuse herself of the situation. She also added a line stating that an author told her that "everyone at one point in their lives had crossed the plagiarism line, whether they admit it or not..." First off, how do you know that? You don't go around following everyone and reading everything that people put up on the net. And this sentence also implies that everyone is the same as her. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't want to be put in the same boat as a plagiarist when I have done nothing wrong. I have always given credit where credit is due. And if I think I have written something that may have already been said, then I will quote it, even if I don't know who exactly said it. And it feels like she wrote that sentance to justify what she did.
I think that these two posts have made things worse for Kristi, and has already added more fuel to the fire. She really should have left the topic alone after apologizing twice. After these posts, I feel like I have lost what little respect I had for her, and because of this, will most likely no longer be participating in her IMM feature.
