Short Synopsis: After her parents death, Trinity moves in with her aunt in New Orleans. Things go horribly wrong one day when she meets a new group of friends and force Trinity to go to a haunted house. After the fiasco at the haunted house, one of the girls suddenly end up missing and all signs point to Trinity.
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this novel. Very fast paced and kept me guessing all the way to the end for who was responsible.
Trinity Rose always knew she was different. Ever since she was a little girl, she could see visions of the future. Most of these visions were awful visions of death, and was advised to never speak of them.
With her parents involved in a horrible death, Trinity moves to New Orleans to live with her aunt. She meets a group of friends who dare her to enter into a haunted house. Even before Trinity sets foot in the house, she has odd feelings about it and doesn't really want to go, but if she wants to be part of the group, Trinity knows what she must do.
When they arrive in the house, the group starts playing a game of truth or dare, and things start to go from bad to worse. After the haunted house, Trinity wakes up one morning and hears that one of the girls, named Jessica has gone missing. Trinity's visions start to reappear with Jessica in them, asking for Trinity's help. As the investigation for Jessica continues, Trinity puts everything on the line to try to save Jessica. But as the situation progresses, all signs are starting to point to Trinity. Can Trinity clear her name and still save Jessica?
I absolutely loved this novel. Mystery, romance, and intrigue all rolled into one great read. I enjoyed reading the relationship between Chase and Trinity. I was a little thrown off with Trinity's powers and got confused with reality and what she thought she saw. There was one scene that kept bugging me and wasn't really explained when she was in a building with the woman and the cat with the black mirror? This novel seemed to have a bit of voodoo involved which I couldn't get enough of! I was also a little shocked that Trinity was a bit flamboyant with guys after Chase walked away, because she didn't really seem like that type of character. I was also really curious to find out more with Dylan and what he knew about memories, because it sort of seemed like he was implying that Trinity's memories had been erased. Overall, I really enjoyed this novel and can't wait to find out more!
Would I recommend this book: Yes!
Rating: I give this book a 4.5/5.
